2021 GOOGLE SEO CHECKLIST (Checklist for Beginner SEO)
Good structure is the foundation that Google values.
- Write code as easy to read as possible. “Use clean code”
- Make your website’s link clear. Easy to type and find. There is no forward slash (/) as a barrier between your website and Google.
- Make the website structure smooth and fast loading.
- All links must work, be accessible once clicked. (Operability)

- Adjust the title and description to match the purpose and content of the website images. The length should be 70 characters for Title and 155 characters for Description.
- Increasing the size and thickness of the font will help Google access and display your content faster and better. (Font size in Main content area)
- Enter your name, address, contact information, to increase credibility to your website.
- If your website is an E-commerce website, it should include a refund policy, return shipping details and terms & conditions of your services. These will increase your reliability to your website.
Quality articles on the website
- Topic, content, and links that relate to the website should be consistent. If the article is about cooking. The title and all content’s part should include keywords that go along well. For example: The topic is about fried fish so there should be a keyword ‘fish’, ‘cut’, ‘fry’, kitchenware such as ‘knife’, and ‘pan’, and some verbs like ‘having lunch’. Moreover, the links to that website should also come from the same type websites which have a good credibility. For example, the link from YouTube and MasterChef website that will make the content relate to the real keyword that the user is searching for.
- There should be an author name and supporters of the article. Or if it is from the other source, you have to mention that website or author name.
- Create articles about tips or useful ideas such as how to… This will make the website have more chances on the Google Page Ranking.
- You should be disciplined in creating articles. You do not have to do every day every time but keeping regularity by doing it every 3 - 4 days is enough to increase professionalism of your website towards Google. Besides, you may tweet every day or have activities on Facebook regularly, so they can have a great effect on your website’s credibility.
Key word is the key to create SEO
Consists of 5 types:
- Head-term keyword - short words such as bread, movie, cars, and etc. These words must not be used.
- Long-tail keyword - any specific words with less competitors like Blue ocean strategy that makes people feel interested when they see them such as Turkish croissants.
- Navigation keyword - the words that link to other reliable websites. It is the behavior that customers are concerned about such as ‘how to fry fish Pantip’, ‘how to sing a song YouTube’, ‘Cat lover fan page Facebook’ and so on.
- Information Keyword - it starts with something like – ‘where is good?’, ‘is it good?’, ‘low price’. These are keywords from high potential customers who just need someone to confirm if it is good to buy.
- Transactional Keywords – These are counted as Buying Keyword. They are keywords from customers who decided to buy but they don’t know where to buy or how to buy. For example, where to buy a baguette?
Create a good network of links in a civilized way
- You must have a link to social media to increase the number of content exports on social media. It will be another way to bring users to enter the website (increase Click rate).
- Create the Anchor link and embedded links in the page you want.
- You need to put the link of your website on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. This way will bring the relevant link score and opportunities for users to visit the website.
- You should write the blog on another website as Guest Post and link back to your website. Or you may search “Google Guest Post”, you will find the websites where you can write the stories and exchange links as a civilization.
